Polythene bags seized in Ctg

The Department of Environment (DoE) seized a tonne of banned polythene bags from a polythene factory in Purba Bakalia area of Chittagong city yesterday.

A team led by DoE Chittagong Metropolitan Director Azadur Rahman Mollick, conducted a drive at SA Poly Industries and found the polythene bags stored there, said DoE officials. A notice was also issued to the owner Mohammad Idris to appear in a hearing at DoE office today, the officials said.
