One held with 1cr Indian rupees at Dhaka airport

Airport Armed Police (AAP) arrested a passenger along with 1.04 crore Indian rupees at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport yesterday.

Asaduzzaman Mirza, 45, landed at the airport from Karachi via Bangkok by a Thai Airways flight at noon. When he went to Canopy-2 after crossing the green channel, the AAP members challenged him around 2:30pm, said Senior ASP Alamgir Hossain of AAP.

Searching his luggage, the law enforcers seized the Indian currency, he added.
