Now boy gets burned in acid attack

A schoolboy received burn injuries as miscreants threw acid at him at Shemlashi of Savar, outside the capital, yesterday.

The victim Md Sajib, 17, -- a class-eight student -- is the son of Shahadat Hossain, a resident of Komlarchar in Keraniganj.

Sajib is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital with injuries in his neck and hands.

Quoting victim's mother, police said Sajib went outside home on Sunday evening following a quarrel with her and returned home next day with the injuries.

Sajib told his mother that unidentified miscreants threw acid at him, said police adding that they were investigating the matter.
