As residents of this planet, it is our duty to help protect the nature that provides us with the ability to live and sustain ourselves with its abundance of shelter and food. Although rapid industrialisation and urbanisation has been a boon for us, it has also lead to environmental degradation.

Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) has been preparing for this year's World Environment Day in a different manner compared to traditional ones. It has rolled up its sleeves with the aim to observing this day in the greenest way possible.

This year, MTB has decided to provide saplings to the people residing in Bashundhara Residential Area which they can plant anywhere they want.

MTB's observance of this special day to stay green just doesn't end here. They have devised an innovative campaign, aptly themed "Tag for Green" which is being communicated digitally so that there are no trees that are cut down to produce the paper.

MTB has chosen its Facebook page to communicate with the people for this initiative avoiding other forms of communication. Under this initiative, MTB has requested the people on Facebook to tag as many of their friends who are residing in Bashundhara Residential Area. Following which, MTB will reach the tagged people and provide them with a sapling for planting in any place they desire.

This initiative is already ongoing on Facebook and has garnered a tremendous amount of interest as witnessed via the tags on the page.

On the Facebook page, there is a post about the "Tag for Green" initiative. You can tag any of your friends who live in Bashundhara on the comment section of that post and provide them with the opportunity to win a seedling and do their part to save the environment.
