Man’s hanging body recovered in Ctg

Police recovered the body of a man hanging from a tree at Ramjan Alirhat in Raozan upazila of Chittagong yesterday.

The deceased Md Mafiz, 40, of Mongalkhali area was a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver.

Officer-in-Charge of Raozan Police Station Kefayet Ullah said they primarily suspected it to be a suicide.

Mafiz's brother Jane Alam, however, claimed that his brother was killed by his in-laws over a family feud. A few days ago, Mafiz's brother-in-law Shah Alam also beat him up.

Someone asked Mafiz over the phone to go outside around 12:00am and next morning he was found dead, Alam added.
