Manju gets show cause notice

Returning officer yesterday issued a show cause notice to BNP-backed mayoral candidate Manjur Alam Manju in Chittagong City Corporation polls for violating the electoral code of conduct.
Assistant Returning Officer Shafiqur Rahman said Manju flouted the electoral law by bringing out a motor procession during his election campaign in Potenga area yesterday.

Shafiqur said they got proof of the violation from their vigilance team.
