Man stabbed to death in Badda

A man was stabbed to death by unknown criminals in Dhaka's Merul Badda area tonight.

The dead was identified as Hiron Sarder, 30, a supplier to different bakeries.

The victim's sister Ruma Akter said her brother left his Aftabnagar residence on his bike but did not return. Around 9:00pm, a man came saying that Hiron was stabbed by unknown persons at Noakhali Bari area in Merul Badda.

Some locals took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 10:00pm, she said.

Ruma could not say anything about the killers but named two local youths and said they had enmity with her brother.

Abdur Razzak, inspector (investigation) of Badda Police Station, said they came to know that a youth was stabbed to death during a quarrel.

"We are trying to know the details," he said.

Hailing from Shariatpur, Hiron used to live in a rented house in Aftabnagar with his wife and two children.
