Man murdered inside house at Mugda

A man was killed after two persons allegedly slit open his throat inside his house in Dhaka's Mugda area last night.

The deceased was identified as Jaj Mia alias Alamin (25) who used to run a laundry shop at Mugda Bishwa Road area.

Locals chased down the two alleged killers when they were fleeing around 11:30pm.

They are, Zubair, an employee of the shop and his brother Shakil, said sub-inspector Shoyeb Khan of Mugda Police Station.

The SI said Alamin along with his wife Kalpana and younger brother Hossain used to live on the fourth floor of a building.

When the duo entered the house, Kalpana and Hossain, took shelter inside the toilet.

Locals rushed there hearing screams for help and caught the two when they were trying to flee and handed them over to police, the police officer said.

The victim and the accused are from nearby villages in Bajitpur upazila in Kishoregangj. Police are suspecting they killed Alamin following a row in the village or in the shop.
