Man killed, two injured as train rams car in Ctg

A man was killed and two others were injured when a train hit a car in Fakirhat area under Sitakunda Police Station yesterday.

The deceased Anwar Hossain, 40, of Comilla was the driver of the car which belongs to Sheema Automatic Re-Rolling Mills Ltd (SARM).

The injured -- Abu Naser Apu, 20, and Raju, 23, -- are the staff of SARM factory. They are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city, said Anwarul Absar, in-charge of the factory.

Himangshu Das Rana, officer-in-charge of Chittagong Railway Police Station, said the four-wheeler was crossing an un-authorised level crossing when Dhaka-bound Subarna Express hit it.
