Man gets life term for killing kid

A Sylhet court sentenced a man to life imprisonment on Thursday for strangling a two-year-old boy, Hridoy, on April 26, 2010 over previous enmity with his father.

The court also fined Parvez Ahmed, 30, a resident of Akhalia Nayabazar in Sylhet city, Tk 10,000, and in default, he would have to suffer two months more in jail.

Parvez was caught by locals while trying to flee from the crime spot.
