Kohinoor chemical executive held

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab)-2 yesterday arrested an employee of Kohinoor Chemical Company Ltd at Manipuri Para in the capital for allegedly embezzling the company's around Tk 31 lakh.

Arrested Advocate Polas Kumar Roy,  a junior executive at the legal department of the company Ltd, has been absent from work since February 16 this year without giving any prior notice, says a Rab-2 press release. As the company later lodged a case against him with a Dhaka court on March 31 over the embezzlement, the court issued an arrest warrant against Polas, said the release.
