Hospital staffer dies after setting himself on fire at Sheikh Hasina Nat'l Burn Institute

A physically challenged staffer, who set himself on fire at Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute yesterday, died at the hospital this morning.

Azizul Islam Milon (30) passed away around 8:00 am, said Dr Samanta Lal Sen, chief coordinator of burn units across the country.

He suffered 95 percent burn injuries, Dr Samanta Lal said.

Milon set himself on fire inside a toilet of the hospital last night, said Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police outpost.

He was appointed as an outsource employee at the hospital, he said.
