Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) has yet to comply with a High Court order that directed it two years ago to submit a list of vulnerable buildings in the capital.

During the hearing of a suo moto rule, and a writ petition regarding Rana Plaza collapse on April 24, 2013, the HC yesterday asked Rajuk to submit the list to it by April 26.

Rajuk's lawyer KM Saifuddin told the court that he can submit the list within 48 hours.

The HC also directed the officer-in-charge of Savar Police Station to submit a progress report by April 26 on the trial proceedings of the cases filed over Rana Plaza collapse that killed at least 1,134 people and injured many others. The bench fixed April 26 for further hearing.

Issuing a suo moto rule, the court on April 30, 2013 had asked Rana Plaza's owner Sohel Rana and owners of five garment factories housed in the building to explain why they should not be directed to pay compensation to the victims and their families. Two days earlier, it ordered Bangladesh Bank to tell all commercial banks not to disburse any money to the owners from their accounts, except for paying workers' salaries and benefits.
