Five arrested with arms

Detectives arrested five alleged robbers attempting a robbery in the capital's Mugda area on Thursday night.

They were arrested along with a pistol, three bullets, two machetes, six crude bombs and a microbus, said Snigdha Akter, senior assistant commissioner of Detective Branch (East) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

The arrestees are Mohammad Ali, Abdur Rahim, Jamal Hossain alias Habib, Sabuz Hawlader and Farhad Mia.
