Firm owner abducted in Dhaka found dead in Comilla

Police recovered the body of a man from Daudkandi in Comilla yesterday, three days after his abduction.

The deceased was identified as Jahangir Alam, who was abducted from the capital's Rayerbagh three days ago.

Being informed by locals, Daudkandi police recovered the body, swathed in a travel bag, from the roadside around 7:30pm; said police sources.

Quoting family sources, Abani Shankar, officer-in-charge of Jatrabari Police Station, said abductors demanded Tk 5 crore as ransom from Jahangir, who owned a mosquito coil company. A case was lodged with Jatrabari Police Station in this regard.
