Fire guts valuables of two shops in Ctg

Fire gutted valuables of two shops, worth Tk 5 lakh, at Bayezid Bostami Kitchen Market in Chittagong city early yesterday.

Fire Service officials said the fire originated from an electric short circuit in a shop and spread to the adjacent one around 4:15am.

Fire fighters rushed to the spot and managed to douse the blaze after an hour's frantic effort, the officials added.
