Fire guts six houses in port city

A fire gutted six tin-roofed houses in Patenga area of Chittagong city yesterday morning.

The fire originated from an oven from one of the houses around 6:25am, soon spread to the adjoining others, said fire service sources.

Fire fighters from Agrabad, EPZ and Bandar fire stations doused the blaze around 7:55am and estimated the damage at Tk 2.5 lakh.
