Fire at Dhanmondi Meena Bazar brought under control

Firefighters have brought under control a fire that broke out at the Meena Bazar outlet in Dhaka's Dhanmondi area this morning.

The blaze broke out around 7:00am, said Ershad Hossain, duty officer at Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters.

On information, two units of firefighters went to the spot and brought the fire under control around 9:15am, the duty officer said.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be known immediately, he added.
