Fire breaks out in Twin Tower

A fire broke out on the ninth floor of a tower near Malibagh intersection in the capital early today.

The fire broke out around 1:00am when a couch in a flat of Twin Tower in the area caught on fire, said Mominul Islam, Sub-inspector of Paltan Police Station.

The fire fighting units doused the fire around 1:50am, said the fire service sources.

Panicked by the fire, about 6 residents were injured while rushing, the SI added.
