Motijheel fire brought under control

The fire that broke out at a building in Dhaka's Motijheel area this afternoon has been brought under control, after two hours of frantic efforts.

The fire started on the sixth floor of a seven-story building around 1:30 pm.

On information, 13 firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 3:35 pm, said Lima Khanam, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
