EC to publish final voter list on Jan 31

The Election Commission (EC) will publish the final voter list on January 31.

While publishing the draft voter list at a press conference at EC media centre yesterday, EC Secretariat Secretary Sirajul Islam said 43,68,047 new voters -- 22,97,895 males and 20,70,152 females -- have been included in the draft list, raising the total voters' number to over 10.05 crore.

Objection can be raised against anyone included in the draft list as well as applications can be submitted for correcting information by January 17, he added. The authorities will settle the complaints on January 22.
