Dupatta caught in rickshaw wheel spokes kills girl in capital

A domestic help died after her dupatta got entangled with the wheels of a rickshaw carrying her in the capital's west Nakhalpara yesterday.

The deceased Sumaiya Akter, 16, of Gazipur had been working at the house of one Abdur Rahim in the area.

Sumaiya was returning home with her employer's school going daughter, said Officer-in-Charge of Tejgaon Police Station Mazharul Islam.

She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, the OC added.
