DU professor Nazrul Islam Khan dies of Covid-19

Dr Md Nazrul Islam Khan, professor of Institute of Nutrition and Food Science of Dhaka University (DU), has passed away of Covid-19. He took his last breath around 1am yesterday, while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital.

He was 62 years of age.

Dr Md Nizamul Hoque Buiyan, general secretary of DU Teachers' Association and also a teacher at the Institute of Nutrition and Food Science, confirmed the news to The Daily Star.

A press release on behalf of Dhaka University Teachers' Association (DUTA) expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family.
