Domestic help falls to death in Ctg

A 14-year-old domestic help died after falling from the seventh floor of a 12-storey building in Chittagong city's Mehedibag early yesterday.

Her employer Imtiaz Uddin, a businessman, said Bali Akther, daughter of Nurul Alam of Cox's Bazar, fell down while trying to escape via the balcony using a scarf as she was scolded the previous night.

She was declared dead at a private hospital. Nurul said Bali joined the work just 20 days ago. Police said the reason of death will be known after autopsy.
