Death anniversary

Today is the eleventh death anniversary of Farida Sarkar, a Fulbright scholar and former civil servant, newscaster of the Voice of America and a teacher of North South University.

She was the wife of former power and energy minister and Jatiya Party presidium member, Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu.

On the occasion, special prayers will be offered at an orphanage, and food will be distributed among the residents, says a press release.
