Case against Mamunul, 16 others: Court asks police to submit probe report by May 27

A Dhaka court today asked Paltan Model police to submit by May 27 the probe report of the case filed against Hefajat-e-Islam Joint Secretary General Mamunul Haque and 16 other people over torching vehicles, vandalising shops and looting valuables.

Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mondol passed the order after receiving the first information report (FIR) of the case.

Khandaker Arif-uz-Zaman, a businessman of Dhaka's Wari and also Dhaka South Jubo League's deputy office secretary, filed the case against them with Paltan Police Station on April 5.
