Canada wants to invest in communications

Canada has expressed its interest to invest in Bangladesh's communications sector under the public-private partnership (PPP) initiative.

The proposal came when Canadian High Commissioner in Dhaka Benoit-Peirre Laramee met Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader at his office yesterday.

The meeting stressed the need for extending economic partnership between the two countries to tap the future potentials, and hoped that the partnership of the two friendly countries will be strengthened in the future.
