Boy, woman die trying to board launch from boat in Buriganga

A five-year old boy and a woman died while her husband and two others were injured after the boat they and three more persons were using to board a launch in the Buriganga river sank last evening.

Md Selim and Laizu Begum, 35, were headed for Lalmohan of Bhola. The injured were admitted to Mitford Hospital.

Injuries on Laizu's body indicate she had been hit by a propeller, said Abul Hasan, officer-in-charge, Kotwali Police Station.
