Boy takes fatal fall into septic tank

The body of a boy who fell into an open septic tank was recovered after a four-hour long effort in Purba Vadail of Ashulia, on the outskirts of the capital, yesterday.

The boy was Md Yasin, 8, son of Md Zasim Uddin of Kishoreganj.

Quoting locals, Md Abdul Hamid Miah, senior station officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence, Dhaka Export Processing Zone said Yasin fell into the tank while playing on a field near his house.

Fire fighters rushed to the area and recovered the body after four hours, he said.
