Book fair begins at Shishu Academy

A nine-day Bangladesh Shishu Academy Book Fair began yesterday on its premises on the occasion of 97th birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children Day-2016.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the book fair as the chief guest while Chairman of Agrani Bank Limited Dr Zaid Bakht and author Imdadul Haq Milon, among others, were special  guests at the function presided over by Director of Bangladesh Shishu Academy Mosharraf Hossain.

A total of 50 publishing companies are taking part in theA fair to showcase different kinds of books particularly books for children in the exhibition.

The fair would remain open for public from 3:00pm to 8:00pm every day, but in holidays from 11:00am to 8:00pm.
