All HC orders of ad-interim bails extended for two weeks

All High Court orders of ad-interim bail have been extended for the next two weeks because of Covid-19.

HC's registrar office issued a notification to this effect yesterday under the directive from Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain.

The HC orders that granted bail to accused for specific periods of time or granted ad-interim bail on condition of their surrender to lower courts concerned in connection with cases against them have been extended for next two weeks, the notification said.

On April 4, the registrar office issued a similar notification, which expired yesterday. The chief justice recently decided to run court functions across the country on a limited scale due to a Covid-19 surge.
