9 brass statues stolen from Ctg puja mandap

Nine brass statues were stolen from a mandap (worship house) in Gujara village of Anwara upazila in Chittagong, anytime between Tuesday night and early yesterday.

Five stone statues were also stolen; they were later found beside a pond, near the mandap, said Shymol Das Gupta, president of Sadarghat Thana Puja Udjapan Parishad, claiming that the stolen statues were hundred years old.
