5 pharmacies, food factory fined in Ctg

A mobile court in Chittagong yesterday fined five pharmacies and a sweet factory Tk 1.4 lakh for selling unauthorised, adulterated, date expired medicine and preparing food in unhygienic condition.

The mobile court conducted the drive in Muradpur area and fined Cal Pharma, Homeo Health, Adhunik Homeo Hall Tk 10,000 each and Sheba Pharma Tk 2,000. Medi Bright Pharmacy at Sirazuddoula area was fined Tk 8,000.

In Sirazuddoula area, the court fined Dutta Sweets Tk 1 lakh for preparing food in unhygienic conditions and destroyed date expired and dirty sweets of around 800kg.
