40 students faint during lightning in Gazipur

Forty female students, of Boldighat JM High School in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur, became senseless during lightning yesterday.

Sirajul Islam Khan, headmaster of the school, said the students were playing at the playground during tiffin break.

Thirty of them were given primary treatment and the rest were admitted to Sreepur Upazila Health Complex, he added.

The students became senseless out of fear when the thunderbolt hit them, doctors at the heath complex said.
