3 workers dead after falling from under-construction building in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi

Three construction workers died after falling from a 10-storey under-construction building in Dhanmondi-32 area of Dhaka this morning.

Ekram Uddin Miah, officer-in-charge of Dhanmondi Police Station, said three construction workers fell to the ground, breaking the railing of the balcony on the eighth floor of the under-construction building, around 11:30 am.

One of the workers -- Shariful Islam (25) -- died on the spot.

Two others -- Md Inshan (22) and Sujan (22) -- were declared dead when they were taken to Square Hospital soon after the accident.
