Land ministry official held on graft charge

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today arrested an administration official of the Land Ministry on graft allegations.

An ACC team arrested Kutub Uddin Ahmed from Segunbagicha area of Dhaka around 1:30pm in a case filed against him with Gulshan Police Station, ACC Deputy Director Mirza Zahidul Alam, who led the team, told The Daily Star.

Kutub Uddin allotted a 10-katha plot in Gulshan in the names of some of his relatives, including his father-in-law, using fake documents, he said.

Besides, many graft allegations against Kutub Uddin are being investigated by the ACC, he added.
