UIU CSE awarded globally renowned Washington Accord accreditation

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering (BSCSE) programme at United International University (UIU) has been awarded the prestigious Washington Accord accreditation. This global recognition was granted through the Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE) of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB). The accreditation is effective for a substantial six-year term, spanning from December 3, 2023 to December 2, 2029.

This accreditation positions UIU’s BSCSE programme alongside leading international engineering institutions, indicating that its graduates meet the same rigorous quality standards as those from premier institutions in countries such as the USA, the UK, Canada, and Australia. This milestone significantly enhances the global mobility, career prospects, and higher education opportunities for UIU CSE graduates who have graduated or will graduate during the specified timeframe, positioning them as internationally competitive engineering professionals.

By adhering to the international standards mandated by the Washington Accord, UIU ensures its curriculum, faculty, and facilities provide a world-class learning experience that equips students with the essential skills, knowledge, and competencies required in the contemporary global technological landscape. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire UIU community, solidifying UIU's position as a leader in engineering education. Beyond the immediate academic and professional advantages, this accomplishment strongly reinforces United International University’s unwavering commitment to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, with a long-lasting impact.
