GUB hosts inter-departmental cricket tournament

The spirit of sportsmanship is running high at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) as the Clemon Uni Campus Cricket-2025 tournament officially got underway.

The inter-departmental tournament commenced on November 24, 2025, generating considerable excitement among students across the campus. All academic departments of the university are participating in the tournament, including Textile Engineering, Software Engineering, Law, Sociology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Journalism and Media Communication, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Green Business School, Computer Science and Engineering, and English.

The formal inauguration featured a trophy unveiling ceremony attended by senior university officials, faculty members and administrative staff. The event was graced by the chief guest, Prof. Dr Mohammad Sharif Uddin, Vice-Chancellor of the university. Also present were Prof. Dr Khwaja Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor, and Captain (Navy) Sheikh Mohammad Salauddin (TAS), NGP, PSC (Retd), Registrar of the university.

Students have welcomed the tournament not merely as a competitive sporting event but as a platform for strengthening inter-departmental relationships and cultivating a healthy campus environment.
