Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University suspends classes until Dec 6

Authorities have suspended all academic activities at Dhaka Medical College, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College, and Sir Salimullah Medical College until November 29, following concerns after recent earthquakes.

Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University has also suspended all academic activities until December 6 due to the same safety concerns.

The announcement came through official notices today, as the country experienced its third earthquake since Friday morning.

The institutions confirmed the notices to The Daily Star.

Yesterday, Dhaka University authorities decided to close the campus for two weeks, to assess tremor risks and carry out necessary renovations of residential halls.

Meanwhile, all classes and examinations at Jagannath University (JnU) were suspended till November 27 for safety reasons.

In the past two days (Friday and Saturday), Dhaka and surrounding areas experienced three earthquakes.
