World Radiography Day 2025 celebrated at Unico Hospital

Unico Hospital PLC celebrated World Radiography Day 2025 at its Green Road facility, marking the anniversary of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen's discovery of X-rays in 1895 - a groundbreaking moment that revolutionised medical diagnostics.

This year's global theme, "Empowering Healthcare Through Imaging Excellence," underscores the crucial role of radiographers, radiological technologists, and radiologists in modern healthcare - ensuring precision in diagnosis and excellence in patient care.

The event brought together radiology technologists, radiologists, and healthcare professionals from across Bangladesh to share knowledge and celebrate contributions to the field. A scientific session was held, featuring discussions on diagnostic imaging, radiological safety, and the latest technological advancements in radiology.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Brig. Gen. Dr. Sharif Ahmed, Chief of Medical Services, as the Chief Guest. Special Guests included the President of the Radiologist Society of Bangladesh and the President of the Radiology and Imaging Technologist Society of Bangladesh, along with leaders from both government and private healthcare institutions.

In her closing remarks, Ms. Ardra Kurien, CEO of Unico Hospital PLC, emphasized the hospital's commitment to advancing medical imaging standards and continuous professional development among radiology professionals.
