Stamford University Bangladesh holds Convocation 2025

A total of 1,407 graduates received degrees from five faculties and 14 departments.

Stamford University Bangladesh held its Convocation 2025 on November 22, 2025, at the Expo Village of the Bashundhara International Convention Centre.

The event celebrated academic excellence and the achievements of graduating students.

Dr Salehuddin Ahmed, Adviser to the Interim Government's Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Planning, attended as the chief guest. He praised the university's contribution to expanding higher education and developing future leaders saying, "This institution has been playing a significant role in shaping the country's future leaders by ensuring the spread of higher education across generations."

Convocation Speaker Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser on Environment, Forest and Climate Change, spoke about applying knowledge with integrity. She said, "Convocation is a bridge between the academic world and the broader landscape of real-life responsibilities." She urged graduates to uphold honesty, empathy and innovation.

Professor Dr Farhanaaz Feroz, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, and Professor Dr Younus Mia, Acting Vice Chancellor, congratulated the graduates. Registrar Muhammad Abdul Matin delivered the vote of thanks.

A total of 1,407 graduates received degrees from five faculties and 14 departments. Ten graduates were awarded the Chancellor's Gold Medal and 30 received the Vice Chancellor's Gold Medal.

Members of the Board of Trustees, faculty, government and private officials, academics from various universities and media representatives attended the ceremony. The programme ended with musical performances by Warfaze, Bengal Symphony and Stamford University students.
