Southeast University, Amanat Shah Group sign MoU to boost innovation

The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of Southeast University.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Southeast University and the Amanat Shah Group on November 26, 2025 at the university's Multipurpose Hall. The signing was part of a talk titled "Invention and Innovation in the Textile Sector."

The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of Southeast University.

Mohammad Helal Miah, Chairman of the Amanat Shah Group, attended the event as the chief guest. Others who spoke at the discussion included Md. Nurul Islam, Chief Advisor of the Amanat Shah Group; Md. Rezaul Karim, Director; and Professor Engr. Masud Ahmed, Chairman of the Department of Textile Engineering at Southeast University.

The MoU was signed after the discussion. Birmuktijoddha Md. Nurul Islam, Senior Executive Director of Woven Fabrics for the Amanat Shah Group, signed on behalf of the organisation. Professor Engr. Masud Ahmed signed for Southeast University.

The agreement aims to support entrepreneurship development, innovation, and career building for students. It will also strengthen academic and professional cooperation through joint research.

The ceremony was attended by key representatives from both organisations. They included Mohammad Helal Miah, Chairman of the Amanat Shah Group and Member of the Southeast University Board of Trustees; Md. Rezaul Karim, Director of the Amanat Shah Group; Miah Md. Zubayer Amin, Director; and Md. Nurul Islam, Chief Advisor. From Southeast University, attendees included Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice-Chancellor; Professor Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Professor Engr. Masud Ahmed, Chairman of the Department of Textile Engineering; and Professor Dr. Engr. ANM Ahmadullah. Faculty members, administrative officials, and staff were also present.
