Singer Bangladesh steps up long-term investment drive
Singer Bangladesh Limited has undertaken a series of major investments in recent years to strengthen its manufacturing base, expand exports and enhance consumer experience, as part of a long-term growth strategy.
The initiatives include a new manufacturing plant, concept retail stores and workplace transformation, says a press release.
The company, a subsidiary of Beko under Türkiye’s Koç Holding, reported a 14.3 percent rise in revenue and an increase of Tk 214 million in gross profit in 2025, despite broader socio-economic challenges. It has also entered the European export market and launched in-house production of air conditioners for the first time.
Singer Bangladesh inaugurated a state-of-the-art home appliances manufacturing plant at the Bangladesh Special Economic Zone in early 2025. Built with an investment of USD 78 million, the facility is designed to produce refrigerators, televisions, air conditioners, washing machines and other major appliances for the domestic market.
The plant is expected to create up to 4,000 jobs and reduce reliance on imports, with more than 90 percent of products manufactured locally.
The company has also completed its first export shipment of wire harness components from the new facility, marking an expansion of Bangladesh’s manufacturing and export footprint.
Singer Bangladesh said the recent investments are intended to support long-term profitability while contributing to industrial growth, employment generation and technology development in the country.
