Singer Bangladesh reports revenue growth in Q1

Singer Bangladesh Limited reported a rise in revenue in the first quarter of 2026, supported by ongoing investments and business expansion.

The company posted revenue of Tk 5.8 billion, up 3.4 percent from Tk 5.6 billion in the same period last year, says a press release.

Singer said the growth came despite a challenging operating environment, including geopolitical uncertainties, election-related slowdown and extended Eid holidays.

The company maintained stable gross and operating performance during the quarter.

However, higher financial costs led to a net loss of Tk 559 million.

Key indicators including earnings per share, net asset value and net operating cash flow per share reflected the impact of these costs.

Singer said the results should be seen in the context of its ongoing investments.

The company highlighted its manufacturing facility at the Bangladesh Special Economic Zone and expansion of air conditioner production.

It also noted progress in export capabilities.

Singer said it will focus on product innovation, retail experience and customer engagement to drive future growth.

The company said it remains confident of long-term performance despite short-term challenges.
