Mentors’ Kids’ Fest draws hundreds of young learners in Mirpur
Hundreds of children and their parents gathered at the Mirpur premises of Mentors’ Education as the institution hosted a day-long programme titled Mentors’ Kids’ Fest.
The event brought together students from classes 1 to 10 for educational competitions, creative activities and interactive learning, says a press release.
The main attractions of the fest were the English Genius Challenge and the Abacus Math Olympiad, which drew participants from Dhaka and nearby areas. Students competed for prizes and scholarships worth a total of Tk 10 lakh. Organisers said the competitions were designed to build confidence in language skills and numerical thinking through enjoyable learning.
Alongside the contests, an Experience Zone featured games and quizzes aimed at encouraging curiosity and creativity. Children took part in drawing and colouring activities and joined interactive games throughout the day.

A puppet show added a light-hearted element to the programme, while parents attended a session on early childhood development conducted by ECD expert Tahmina Rahman. The session focused on nurturing growth and confidence during children’s formative years.
The event concluded with an appearance by young educator Umme Maisun, who interacted with the children, posed for photographs and shared messages of encouragement.
Syed Khairul Hassan, managing director of Mentors’ Education Limited, said the institution was expanding its focus to younger learners.
“For close to thirty years, Mentors’ has been working on empowering thousands of youths in Bangladesh every year with our wide variety of online and on-campus courses, training programmes and counselling,” he said, adding that the organisation was now extending that experience to children.
Raisul Islam, director of the Kids’ Programme, said the strong turnout and active participation had reinforced plans to reach more young learners through similar initiatives.
Mentors’ currently offers English and Abacus Brain Development courses for children, both online and on campus, and plans to introduce additional programmes in the future. Founded in 1996, the organisation provides support in English language skills, preparation for international exams including IELTS, PTE, SAT and GED, as well as university admission guidance, with seven branches in Dhaka and ten outside the capital.
