The Guardian Orphan Village inaugurated in Sylhet

CAP Foundation is funding the initiative.

The Guardian Orphan Village, established by CAP Foundation, was inaugurated in Sylhet on Thursday by members of the Portuguese royal family, the House of Braganza.

The institution has been built on one and a half acres of land in Chalia village under Sylhet Sadar upazila. It will offer education and full financial support for 100 orphaned children, from grade three through graduation. CAP Foundation is funding the initiative.

Members of the former Portuguese royal family attended the inauguration. CAP Foundation founder Noor Humayun, Adviser Barrister Mainul, and Chief Patron Brig Gen ASM Bakir (retd) were also present.

After the visit, the royal representatives said their trip to Bangladesh was focused on humanitarian support and goodwill. They said the institution reflects international recognition and solidarity for the foundation's work to support orphans and underprivileged children.
