AKIJ Resource launches new career portal ‘nextjobz’
AKIJ Resource has launched an AI-based career platform called nextjobz to make recruitment more technology-driven, simple and effective.
The platform is designed to support skill development, career guidance and corporate networking for young people. It will also help connect job seekers and employers and support users in gaining needed skills.
The portal will feature information on university programmes, campus updates, higher education and global job opportunities.
Managing Director Sheikh Jasim Uddin inaugurated the portal at AKIJ House in Tejgaon on Wednesday. He said, "AKIJ Resource is working tirelessly to improve the quality of life of the people of Bangladesh. That is why we are constantly coming up with new businesses and services. Bangladesh cannot grow at full speed if talent and industry continue to keep missing each other. Our goal is to directly create one million employment opportunities at AKIJ Resource. In addition, through this career portal, we will indirectly create various opportunities including higher education and employment for five million people at home and abroad. With the soft launch of NextJobz, our goal is simple — enable faster, skill-driven hiring so companies can grow stronger and the economy can move forward."
He added, "Bangladesh cannot grow at full speed if talent and industry continue to miss each other." He said the job market is changing and nextjobz will support a fully technology-based recruitment process. He said recruiters will be able to find qualified candidates quickly.
He said nextjobz uses modern technology to match skills with industry needs and will reduce time and cost. He said the platform will offer a complete career solution and support human resource development. He said it will help job seekers develop skills and secure desired jobs.
Shoeb Hassan, Chief Business Officer at AKIJ Resource, said the portal will guide job seekers with information on jobs, education and opportunities abroad. Users will also be able to apply for mentorship from experienced professionals. Event details and education-related information will also be available.
