US-Bangla to resume Dhaka-Jashore flights from Sept 9

US-Bangla Airlines will resume flights on the Dhaka-Jashore route from September 9, operating six flights a week, the private carrier said in a press statement yesterday.

The airline will operate two flights each on Saturday, Wednesday and Thursday using 72-seat ATR 72-600 aircraft, according to the statement.

It added that under the new schedule, the first flight will leave Dhaka at 9:30am and arrive in Jashore at 10:15am on the three operating days.

The return flight will depart Jashore at 10:45am and land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:30am, said the airline.

The second flight will leave Dhaka at 4:45pm and reach Jashore at 5:30pm. It will depart Jashore for Dhaka at 6:00pm and land at HSIA at 6:45pm.

The minimum one-way fare on the route has been fixed at Tk 5,749, while the return fare will be Tk 11,498. The fares include applicable taxes and surcharges, according to the airline.

US-Bangla said it decided to restore the route considering passenger demand in the greater Jashore region and the need for faster connectivity for business, medical treatment, education and tourism.

The airline also said it may consider increasing the number of flights depending on passenger demand and market conditions.

US-Bangla began its journey on July 17, 2014, by launching flights on the Dhaka-Jashore route.

It currently operates domestic flights from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar, Chattogram, Sylhet, Saidpur and Rajshahi.
