NRBC Bank holds BIZCON2026
NRBC Bank PLC organised its annual business conference, titled “BIZCON2026”, at the Le Meridien Dhaka recently.
This year’s conference theme was “Leading the Change”, according to a press release.
Md Ali Hossain Prodhania, chairman of NRBC Bank PLC, inaugurated the conference as the chief guest.
In his remarks, Prodhania said the bank has set a vision to transform NRBC Bank into a sustainable, well-governed and technology-driven institution by strengthening governance, enhancing risk management and elevating customer service.
He emphasised automation, data-driven decision-making and best-in-class corporate governance as core elements of the bank’s long-term strategy.
On cottage, micro, small and medium enterprise financing, he said NRBC Bank has already developed a comprehensive, forward-looking strategy to expand credit to the sector through digital channels and tailored products such as nano credit.
Md Touhidul Alam Khan, managing director and CEO of the bank, presided over the conference and presented the bank’s 2025 performance while outlining the 2026 roadmap, prioritising non-performing loan (NPL) reduction and recovery of written-off accounts.
He stressed scaling up MSME financing through the bank’s branch and field networks, mobilising low- and no-cost deposits, and proactively reaching the unbanked.
He also called for coordinated, team-wide efforts to achieve these targets and strengthen the bank’s financial resilience.
At the conference, the bank’s business performance for 2025 was reviewed, and strategic priorities and targets for 2026 were set.
Md Abul Bashar and Md Anwar Hossain, independent directors of the bank; Md Nurul Haque, chairman of the risk management committee; Muhammad Emdad Ullah, chairman of the audit committee; and Muhammad Abdul Qaium Khan, deputy managing director and chief operating officer, among others, were also present.
