Govt to buy 40 lakh litres of rice bran oil, 6,000 tonnes of lentil for TCB

The government will buy 40 lakh litres of rice bran oil and 6,000 tonnes of lentil for the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB).

The cabinet committee on public purchase today approved the proposals for purchasing the rice bran oil and lentils, said Sayeed Mahbub Khan, additional secretary to the cabinet division.

The rice bran oil would be bought from Majumdar Bran Oil Mills Ltd by spending Tk 64.6 crore, he said.

The lentils will be purchased from Nabil Nabal Naba Foods Ltd for Tk 57.05 crore, Khan said.
